Stars and Stripes Forever

What kind of American would I be if I neglected to pay some respect on this the 229th anniversary of resolution by the Second Continental Congress to adopt the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States? According to US Code Title 36, Subtitle I, Part A, Chapter 1, ยง 110, the President is requested to urge everyone observe flag day. Here's how you can do your part:

In case you were wondering, the flag should not be flown at half-staff only "by order of the President... upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government and the Governor of a State, territory, or possesion...[or] other officials or foreign dignitaries... In the event of the death a present or former official of the government of any State, territory, or possession of the United States, the Governor of that state, territory, or possession may proclaim that the National flag shall be flown at half-staff."

Additionally, it should not be flown in inclement weather (except when an all-weather flag is displayed) or from sunset to sunrise, unless it is appropriately illuminated. The following places are authorized by proclamation or law to fly the flag 24 hours a day:

So you need authorization or proclamation of the law the fly the flag 24hrs a day, yet burning the flag is not illegal?

You forget how to properly destory the flag.
Cut out the stars, and burn the stripes with permission from the proper authorities.
